Hello,

There's a feature that could be implemented on the Symbol Lookup page, http://www.iqfeed.net/symbolguide/index.cfm?symbolguide=lookup&displayaction=support§ion=guide&web=iqfeed to help Iqfeed users to search for active symbols.

My idea would be to have a field on filters, to search symbols by volume or by trades received per day. If not daily, it could be a average on 5 days or so.

How is this valuable? Iqfeed provides quotes to thousands of symbols. There are some symbols that might be active but less known. For instance, option series in fronth months, Symbols on Nymex less known but getting active . Another example, let's say that I just would like to follow really active symbols. So I would choose symbols above 100k trades a day. If I would like less active symbols I would choose symbols with less than 5k trades a day.

There are lots of symbols I don't know and some might be pretty active. Even having a 1000 symbol package I would have to write them all and see their daily trade rate 1000 by 1000 .

With this feature users could get to the point in seconds and select the most 500 or 1000 symbols on all exchanges or filtered by exchange.

Thank you
Best Regards
ES

This is something on our list. We will be adding certain fundamental data elements to the symbol file to allow users to more effectively find candidates to watch in the streaming feed. It will be a few months before we have it implemented, but the recent changes we made to the symbol lookup files was in preparation for this functionality.

Thanks for the suggestion!
